Hi Everyone: Just rec'd the copy-edited manuscript for PASSION BECOMES HER which is due to be released in July of 2010, so you know what I'll be doing this weekend. Am making steady progress on FORTUNE COMES CALLING. Nothing spectacular, just pages adding up. I am enjoying Emily and Barnaby and all the other characters in the book. I was having trouble getting Emily and Barnaby together -- everyone else in the book wants their day in the sun! I finally figured out yesterday how I intend to get Emily and Barnaby married. Got a bit of manipulating to do, but I'll get them before the vicar before too many more pages go by. Of course, they haven't even shared that first kiss yet, but they've been eyeing each other -- when the other characters don't get in the way :-). All my best, Shirlee

  2. HI Becky: Thanks for writing. Don't give up hope! Late in 2008 several of the older books were sold to a Spanish publisher. Who knows? Maybe THE SPANISH ROSE will show up in your neck of woods. All my best, Shirlee

  3. I am happy to know you are writing another novel. Your novels are the best of the romance novels, I am true in saying this. I sincerly admire you.
How do you do to write so quick? It is admirable.

  4. Hi Mary: I nearly fell over laughing at the 'write so quick'. Compared to other writers, I'm slow as a snail. Loved your comments. Thank you so much. Ta, Shirlee

  5. Ok, Maybe you are not so fast, but your novels prove tnat you do (or make???) a deep research; the others may write faster than you, but the research...?
I will tell you a secret: I am a writer too (not a famous writer, nor a good writer, but I am doing my best...) And it takes me a logn looooonnngggggg time to do research, that's why I say you write so quick...

  6. Hi Mary: Just noticed your comment here. You gotta stop worrying about the research and start writing. It's easy to get lost in the research and sort of fun, too, but ultimately you have to start writing. I'll give the best advice I ever got: DO IT! Ta, Shirlee
